The following public schools serve students living in the Town of Ballston. The location of your home determines both the school district and the specific school your student will attend. Click the school name to visit their website.

Ballston Spa Central School District 

The Ballston Spa Central School District serves approximately 4,300 students from grades Pre-Kindergarten through 12. Their mission is to provide an excellent education that maximizes the potential of each student. In partnership with the family and community, their students will become responsible and well-rounded adults. Milton Terrace, Gordon Creek, Malta Avenue and Wood Road Elementary Schools serve the PK-grade 5 students. Ballston Spa Middle School serves students in grades 6-8 and Ballston Spa High School is a comprehensive high school program serving students in grades 9-12.

Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District

The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District serves approximately 3,300 to 3,500 students annually. Their mission is to create an educational environment that ensures opportunities for learning, personal growth and social responsibility. Their five schools have achieved an enviable record of pupil performance, staff accountability, and program efficiency. Charlton Heights, Pashley, and Stevens Elementary Schools serve students in grades Kindergarten-grade 5, O'Rourke Middle School serves students in grades 6-8, and Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School serves students in grades 9-12.

Shenendehowa Central School District

Shenendehowa Central School District covers approximately 86 square miles and serves families from several communities. Their mission is to work continuously and in partnership with the community to ensure that all students develop and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, abilities and character needed to live useful, productive and rewarding lives. Arongen, Chango,  Karigon, Okte, Orenda, Shatekon, Skano, and Tesago Elementary Schools serve students in Kindergarten-grade 5, and Acadia, Gowana, and Koda Middle Schools serve students in grades 6-8. Shen High School is comprised of two buildings: West and East. West serves students in grade 9, and East serves students in grades 10-12. 

School Tax Information

School Taxes (billed to property owners in September) are mailed out by and collected by the school district you live in. The Ballston Tax Collector, Town Assessor's Office, or Town Clerk's Office does not have information about school taxes; please contact the school district directly.
