Members

The Planning Board is a seven-member citizen board appointed by the Town Board to seven-year terms. Two alternate members are also appointed to serve in the event that a regular member is unavailable. All members must be Town of Ballston residents.

Overview

The Planning Board reviews development activities within the Town of Ballston, with the authority to approve, approve with modifications, or disapprove applications for site plan reviews, special use permits, and subdivisions of land. They study and vote on proposed projects, ensuring compliance with New York State environmental regulations and conformance with Town code, while maintaining the vision outlined in the Town's comprehensive plan. The Board is supported by a Secretary, Clerk, Planning Attorney and Town Designated Engineer. Meetings occur on the last Wednesday of the month, with an agenda meeting at 6 pm and a regular meeting at 6:30 pm. The public is welcome to attend both meetings.
