Emergency Management Operations Committee
The Emergency Management Operations Committee was formed by a Town Board resolution on
July 1, 2008. The purpose of the committee is to review and recommend amendments that would enhance the overall emergency plan, training, and safety of our community. The committee consists of representatives from each fire department and ambulance squad that provides services to the Town of Ballston, Highway and Water Superintendent Joe Whalen, Deputy Supervisor George Seymour, Councilman Tim Szczepaniak, and Supervisor Patti Southworth. Meeting dates and times are posted at Town Hall and on this website calendar. Members of the public are welcome, and comments can be made at the end of meetings.

Farmland Protection Plan - The Town is seeking a grant to develop a Farmland Protection Plan. Elan Planning & Design, Inc. has provided a proposal to assist the Town in completing the Farmland and Open Space Protection Plan. The Town Board has appointed a Steering Committee to assist in this process. The Steering Committee members are: Robert Pustolka, Jeremy Knight, Andy Van Vorst, Freida Garrison and Chuck Curtiss Jr.
Parks and Recreation Committee: The purpose of the Parks and Recreation Committee shall be to advise and make recommendations to the Town Board for parks and recreation opportunities that would enhance active and passive recreational needs in the Town of Ballston.

All meetings are held the third Wednesday of the month, at the call of the Chairperson or at the call of two members with two days notice. These meetings will be posted on the Meetings Calendar webpage.
